FRIENDLY: PACOS DE FERREIRA 0 – DEPORTIVO 0

14 Nov 2015
Boring game at Melgaço. Manuel Pablo played his first game on this season, while Fabril’s Hugo Rama, Anxo Pérez and Juan Otero debuted with the first team.

Little can be said of the friendly game played by Deportivo at Melgaço visiting FC Paços de Ferreira. Both sides faced the meeting with relaxation and only a few scoring chances were created, so the goalless result perfectly describes what happened on the pitch.

Uruguayan Jonathan Rodríguez had the best chance in the first part with a shot from close range that passed over the crossbar. Coach Víctor Sánchez presented a lineup mixing normal starters with players that are lacking minutes, plus the presence of Fabril’s goalie David Gómez and centre-back Róber Suárez.

The main news in the second part was the entry of Manuel Pablo for the last fifteen minutes. The captain of Depor was off since the pre-season due to injury reasons and this was his first appearance on the campaign and he performed as a centre-back.

Víctor also allowed in the second part the debut with the first team of goalkeeper Anxo Pérez, playmaker Hugo Rama and striker Juan Otero, the latter had the best chance in the second part with a drilling cross that passed close to the far post.
