Deportivo continue to be the team that allows less shots in la liga. And during the weekend they gave a new lesson lashing one of the teams that completes more shots per match.

Coach Víctor Sánchez has managed to build up a solid defensive line for this season, after the big problems faced on last campaign the back line is now among the strongest one in la liga and it’s the main factor to explain why Depor have only lost twice after twelve matchdays.

And it’s that Deportivo is the team that allows less shots per game, only nine. Mark that’s above the one of Atlético Madrid (9.5) and FC Barcelona (10.6). And on Saturday they gave a new lesson of this facing one of the most offensive teams in the league.

RC Celta is the third team that completes more shots per match (15), only below Real Madrid (19.8) and FC Barcelona (17.5), but at the Riazor they were reduced to six shots, four of them on target. It is now the distinguished sign of a team built up starting at defence.

But there are things still to be improved, starting with the number of goals conceded. In the twelve matchdays played so far the team has only clinched three clean sheets, for this reason Depor are only ninth in terms of goals allowed in la liga (13).

As a way of comparison Atlético Madrid represent the best defence with only six goals allowed followed by Valencia CF (9), and as it was explained before these teams allow more shots than Depor. The situation leaves the impression that Deportivo concede a low number of shots, but when these shots are they have a big probability of ending in goal.
