Víctor is planning a change in the draw ahead of the visit to RCD Espanyol, while he’s pending of Lucas and his muscle problems.

Deportivo remain winless in 2016 and there have been a lot of comments suggesting that coach Victor Sánchez should switch the 4-4-2 draw implemented in recent months, and ahead of the visit to RCD Espanyol that change could happen, though it is more related to the fact that Cani is out injured.

The Aragonian was a starter within the last three liga games and, instead of just replacing him, Víctor is thinking of switching the draw into a 4-3-3, it’s a figure with three centre midfielders taking advantage of the fact that Celso Borges is finally available.

The coach has a tested a lineup with Borges joining Pedro Mosquera and Álex Bergantiños at midfield. In attack the initial plan is to play with the trident composed by Fayçal Fajr, Luis Alberto and Lucas Pérez.

But Lucas is doubtful after been unable to train on this week, the Galician attacker is dragging a muscle injury (Soleus muscle) and will undergo a late test on Friday in order to determine if he will be picked for the game. If he isn’t available, then Oriol Riera or Jonathan Rodriguez will have a new chance.

Lucas has been highly important for the team, not only been the top scorer (14) and the main assistor (6), but is also one of the four men that have played in the 24 matchdays disputed so far. The other three men in this short list are Fajr, Fernando Navarro and Sidnei Rechel.
