Despite the setback of the game against RCD Espanyol, Víctor is ready to repeat the same 4-3-3 draw. The novelties are Lopo and Lucas. There are concerns with this draw as it barely worked for Depor.

Coach Víctor Sánchez is ready to repeat the 4-3-3 of the past liga defeat against RCD Espanyol, it is what he tested on Wednesday, though the final decision will be made on Saturday during the last session behind closed doors at Abegondo.

The main characteristic is the presence of a trivote at midfield with Álex Bergantiños, Celso Borges and Pedro Mosquera. There are two novelties compared to the team that played at Cornellà-El Prat. The first is the presence of Albert Lopo, who will replace injured Sidnei Rechel at the centre of the defence, while Lucas Pérez also returns after missing his first game on the season.

In the case of Lopo, this is only his second liga appearance in 2016, his previous game was the visit to Real Sociedad (January 16) as he was replacing suspended Alejandro Arribas, now he will join the ex-Sevilla man for the first time (they never coincided in the pitch before).
There are concerns with the effectiveness of the 4-3-3 at Deportivo, Víctor has used it a few times and it barely worked. It was used at the beginning of the season and the only time it worked out was for the visit to Rayo Vallecano (3-1 win), but later it was the design used in Copa Del Rey and Depor ended with a humiliation before a Segunda club and last weekend it was the scheme in one of the worst games in the league tournament.

One of the problems is that a 4-3-3 needs two full-backs with good offensive skills, and neither Navarro nor Juanfran fulfil the requirements, so the draw turns to be more defensive and, if the midfielders end surpassed as it happened against RCD Espanyol and CD Mirandés, then the centre-backs live a nightmare at the moment of facing the attackers.
