Víctor is having several problems for the visit to Atlético, Lucas could miss the match and Juanfran is doubtful. Sidnei remains sidelined. The Madrilenians are living their best moment on the season and don’t have important casualties.

Tense week for Deportivo. The frustration after dropping two points before Málaga CF was evident on Tuesday, day of the first training session for the team. A feeling that has been growing as the team already spent twelve straight games without winning, and the next challenge is one of the toughest visits: Atlético Madrid (Calderón stadium, Saturday, 20h30 CET).

Neither good are the news regarding the injured players, starting with the fact that two normal starters are doubtful for the game. Lucas Pérez skipped Tuesday’s session, at the beginning it was said that it was for a knock, but later in that day the club informed that scans were made to the attacker and it was determined that he suffered a relapse from the Soleus injury that sidelined him from the game against RCD Espanyol.

So, Lucas is resting on Wednesday and Thursday and will make a late test on Friday, but it’s highly probable that he won’t be available for the trip to Madrid. Another player with a Soleus injury is Juanfran Moreno, the right-back skipped Wednesdays session and is also doubtful. He will make a test on Thursday in order to know if he will be available.

There are no fresh news regarding the men that were injured on last week, because Fabricio Agosto (knee), Juan Dominguez (thigh) and Sidnei Rechel (muscle) remain sidelined. In the case of the Brazilian centre back, he is in the last stage of his recovery process and might join the group on next week. Cani (thigh) joined the group on this week, but is pending to receive the medical okay and it isn’t certain if he will be available for the game in Madrid.

At Atlético Madrid, the team coached by Diego Simeone is living its sweetest moment on the season after ratifying the second place through important wins visiting Real Madrid and Valencia CF, while they prepare next Tuesday’s game in champions League hosting PSV Eindhoven (round of 16).

Precisely, with that game taking place three days after Depor’s visit, it’s probable that El Cholo will reserve some players for the European match.  There are only a few casualties affecting the team despite the busy schedule faced in recent months.

Only two men are ruled out of the game against Deportivo. Montenegrin centre-back Stefan Savić is out with a muscle problem, while Portuguese midfielder Tiago Mendes is out with a fibula fracture. Meanwhile, striker Fernando Torres hasn’t trained on this week after picking an ankle knock and it’s doubtful for the match. At the same tine winger Augusto Fernández is returning from suspension, while Uruguayan centre-back Diego Godín is available after skipping the match with Valencia due to illness.
