TACTICS: FORCED CHANGES

18 Mar 2016
Deportivo will make changes for the important game against Levante UD, some are decisions of the coach and some are forced due to the casualties.

The game against Levante UD is crucial, the three points would pave the way to the permanence and the coach knows it. Víctor Sánchez is ready to change the draw, on Wednesday he tested to switch the 4-3-3 for a 4-4-2. The main novelty is to sit Álex Bergantiños in order to allow the entry of Cani, who would perform on the right wing with Fayçal Fajr on the left.

The side defenders are planned for the meeting to be Luisinho and Juanfran Moreno, so the coach will return to the tactic of the secondary plays and releasing crosses searching for Luis Alberto and Lucas Pérez.

But Álex could end making an appearance at the starting eleven after all, because there are problems at the centre of the defence. Albert Lopo (ankle sprain) won’t be available and neither Sidnei (muscle) is ready.

And with Alejandro Arribas doubtful, then the coach could end without natural centre-backs for the game. The Madrilenian suffered a thigh knock in Wednesday’s training during a collision with Jonathan Rodriguez.

The situation is worse taking in mind that the centre-backs at Fabril, Róber and Iago López, are also injured, so if Arribas doesn’t pass a late test on Friday then Álex will enter in order to join Fernando Navarro at the centre of the defence.

No matter what, the ex-Sevilla will play as a centre-back taking the place of Sidnei. So, the coach is planning changes searching for tactical variants that could bring the first victory in 2016, and at the same time he is pending of the situation at the centre of the defence, the more affected zone by the current wave of injuries.
