Deportivo's international players didn't shine with their squads. In fact, only Andrade with Portugal was capable of achieving victory. The Portuguese defender played thirteen minutes during his return to Scolari's team. Maybe the worst part was for Dudu Aouate. The Israeli international allowed four goals and gave away a penalty during the 3-4 defeat against Croatia.

Dudu Aouate: (Israel 3 - Croatia 4 - EURO 2008 qualifiers). Israel suffered a bump in the road to the biggest tournament in Europe.  A hat-trick from Eduardo Da Silva helped end the seven year record without home defeats for Israel. Aouate played the full ninety-minutes and allowed the four goals, and he also gave away a penalty against the Croatian team.

Defender Tomer Ben-Yosef sent a complicated pass to Aouate, and the Israeli keeper brought down Mladen Petri? in the area.  Srna converted the penalty that changed the score to 1-1 at that point. Aouate saw a yellow card for this action. With this defeat, Israel is facing a tough situation – Croatia leads group E with 10 points while Russia has 8. Israel, with 7 points, will have a crucial home exam against England, which will be played on March 27, 2007.

Jorge Andrade: (Portugal 3 - Kazakhstan 0- EURO 2008 qualifiers). Coach Scolari called up Andrade after six months of inactivity. Like Caparr??s, Scolari is trying to reintroduce Andrade to the team little by little.  Depor's central defender played the last thirteen minutes of a match that was easily won thanks to a brace from Simao and one goal from Cristiano Ronaldo.

Portugal now has 7 points after 4 matches in group A, but Scolari is in a tough spot since his team occupies the fourth position in the table. Finland (11), Serbia (10) and Poland (10) are leading this group. The next game for Portugal will be against Belgium on March 24, 2007.

Fabi??n Estoyanoff: (Georgia 2 - Uruguay 0- Friendly). Uruguay's coach, Oscar Tab??rez, used this game to experiment for the next Copa America. Players like Andr?s Scotti, Diego God?n and Walter Gargano made their debut with the team. Estoyanoff played as starter in a lineup that included other players like Villarreal's Diego Forl??n and Celta's Fabi??n Cannobio. But the key figure of the game was Lewan Kobiaschwili. The FC Schalke 04 player scored both goals for his country.

Julian de Guzm??n: (Hungary 1 - Canada 0- Friendly). De Guzm??n played 45 minutes of this game and made a satisfactory appearance. Canada is preparing for its participation in the next year's Gold Cup. Interim coach Stephen Hart is using these games to observe new players like Nakajima-Farran. The Calgary native plays for Vejle Boldklub in the Danish first division. It was he who replaced De Guzm??n at half-time.

Albert Lopo: (Spain 0 - Romania 1- Friendly) Spain played an awful match and coach Aragon?s continues to receive much criticism. It was Lopo’s first call up to the national team, but the Catalan didn't participate in this game. Aragon?s preferred the combination of Juanito and Javi Navarro in the centre of defence.

Joan Capdevila: (Spain 0 - Romania 1- Friendly). Once again, Atl?tico's Antonio L??pez was the preferred choice of Aragon?s for the left side of defence. Capdevila stayed on the bench for the entire match alongside Lopo.

Javier Arizmendi: (Spain 0 - Romania 1- Friendly). The Madrilian striker suffered a muscular problem during Tuesday's training session with Spain. For that reason Aragon?s decided to leave him on the bench. The doctors confirmed that his injury is not serious, and Arizmendi will return to La Coru?a today.  It’s expected that he will be ready to face Celta on Sunday.
