Juan Otero decided a game in which Deportivo B was the better side, but that was complicated due to the fighting spirit of the rival. The team remains in promotion seats.

Coach Manu Mosquera was still missing centre-backs Róber and Iago López, the first received the medical okay to play on Friday, but the problems in defence at the first team forced to rest him in case Víctor Sánchez could need him. Santi Taboada was also out injured, so Canadian Sam Piette performed at the centre of the defence.

The draw was switched into a 4-2-3-1, David Gómez was the keeper, Blas Alonso was playing at the right side in defense, Lucas Viña performed on the left, the centre-backs were Piette and Quique Fornos. Edu Expósito and Pol Calvet were the centre midfielders, Álex Corredera was the right winger, Hugo Rama was the playmaker, Óscar García attacked from the left, and Juan Otero was the centre forward.

The rival was A Coruña-based Club Silva SD. The team coached by Javier Bardanca is also fighting for the promotion spots and presented a lineup with four former Fabril’s member, including centre-back Miguel Muñoz, who is currently loaned. The other three men that were at the club in the past are Toni Insua, Jorge Callón and Sergio Cardelle.

It was a complicate game, Fabril was the better side, but Silva managed to give a lot of problems despite not having too many scoring chances within the first 60 minutes. Joan Otero cleared the path to the victory thanks to two individual moves.

The game had a slow start, with Depor B having the ball, but also finding problems to create scoring chances. Hugo Rama and Corredera were pretty active, the latter created the first chance to score with a pass to Otero that visiting goalie Guillermo Del Valle cleared to corner-kick (12’).

Óscar and Otero had the next chances for a Fabril that started to feel comfortable before a rival that wasn’t creating any harm, and it was then that the first goal arrived. And it was a big play by Otero, the Colombian got a high ball and managed to beat Toni Insua and Miguel Muñoz to end inside the area and score through a low shot.

The locals relaxed after the goal and Silva surprised with the equalizer during the stoppage time of the first part. It was a corner-kick action with a header at the far post and one over-head kick inside the area, Beto assisted Diego Cuesta and the midfielder scored with an acrobatic shot from close range.

The second half started with Fabril scoring the second goal and with Otero as the scorer again. Callón failed in the output of the ball and Pol Calvet seized the occasion to assist the Colombian, who netted his 12th goal on the season with a low shot from close range.

Once again Depor B suffered from relaxation after taking the advantage, this time it was also distracted as Ángel Fernández had to be replaced after only ten minutes on the pitch due to an injury, Bamba N´Diaye entered for him, who was returning to play after several months.

So, for the final fifteen minutes, Silva pushed and was close to score the equalizer, the main chance was a disallowed goal to Jorge Rebollo for an offside of Miguel Muñoz (84’). The last substitution made by Manu Mosquera was the entry of Canadian Ben Fisk, who played this time as an attacker after been performing as a right-back in recent weeks.

Fabril suffered despite been the best team in the game, it picked the three points thanks to Jorge Otero. The team remains fourth, now with a five-point advantage and only one point away from CD Choco, side that could only get a point visiting relegation-troubled Bergantiños CF. On next weekend the team visits mid-table SD Negreira.
