Big game for Deportivo with Luis Alberto set to return to the roster. The environment is calm despite the recent comments towards Víctor. It’s also a final for Getafe, side that recovers several players, the most important one is Emiliano Velázquez.

The moment has arrived, the home game against Getafe CF (Sunday, Riazor, 18h15 CET) is the best opportunity that Deportivo will have in order to secure the permanence, if it fails then it will have to search for the goal facing Villarreal CF and Real Madrid.

In the middle of this, the “situation” with coach Víctor Sánchez, who was the centre of the attention at the beginning of the week for his apparent lack of understanding with the players and officials. However, the week has been normal in Abegondo, there isn’t tension during the trainings and everybody seems focused in Sunday’s game.

There are mixed news for Víctor in terms of the players that will be available for the game. Only long-term injury cases German Lux and Fabricio Agosto are officially out, but on Thursday Oriol Riera suffered a knock (fibula) and is doubtful for Sunday’s meeting.

At the same time, Luis Alberto (thigh) is already training at the same pace than the rest and should receive the medical okay to play on Saturday, while Luisinho (Achilles) started to train on Wednesday and has chances to enter the roster.

This is also a crucial game for Getafe CF; the Madrilenians need the three points and in recent weeks have faced massive casualties though they were able to pick 4 of the last 6 points in dispute. New coach Juan Esnaider is recovering people and for now only has two confirmed casualties for the game: left-backs Roberto Lago and Álvaro Pereira (both muscle).

The good news are coming at the centre of the defence. Juan Cala (ankle) and Emiliano Velázquez (ankle) joined the trainings on this week and should be available for Sunday. Uruguayan Velázquez is a key piece in defence and his absence forced the last two coaches to improvise in the position.

Attacker Enoi Goitom is also available after surpassing an injury, while attacker Emi Buendía and ex-Deportivo midfielder Juan Rodríguez are returning from a suspension.
