LAST GAME: PROBLEMS ON THE SIDES

13 May 2016
Víctor only has Manuel Pablo and Navarro available to defend both sides. If Laure and Juanfran aren’t fit enough to play against Real Madrid, then the coach will have to improvise.

Coach Víctor Sánchez is having last-minute problems ahead of the home game with Real Madrid. Luisinho will remain suspended, while Juanfran Moreno has missed the first two training sessions due to a hamstring problem, besides he suffered a toe fracture that has limited his minutes in recent games.

Laureano Sanabria ‘Laure’ skipped Thursday’s session and is pending of a medical exam due to a hip injury. Both men will be assessed on Friday and if they aren’t fit to play, then the coach will only have two players available for the defensive positions at both sides: Manuel Pablo and Fernando Navarro.

Manuel Pablo has only played 85 minutes on this season and could play his last game with Depor on Saturday. It is speculated that he will offer a press conference on next week either to announce his retirement or to announce that he will continue playing.

Despite the problems it's not expected that Víctor will pick players from Fabril for the game, this despite the B squad already clinched a spot in the playoff and in Sunday the only thing at stake for them is to keep the 3rd place. In case of needing changes Víctor will have to improvise, probably with Jonás Gutiérrez and even Róber.
