It’s not clear who is the favourite to coach Depor on next season. The media believes it is Paco Jémez, but he hasn’t been contacted by the club until this point. In the meantime, he says to be enchanted with the idea.

On Monday president Tino Fernández said that the new coach should arrive on next week as the negotiations with the candidates were about to start. Sources like Radio Cadena Cope say that the deadline is June 15.  The point is that right now there are no clues on these negotiations, though papers like AS predict that the main candidate is Paco Jémez followed by Pepe Mel.

But the agent of Paco Jémez, Daniel Muńoz, told to Deporte Campeón that they haven’t talked to Deportivo yet, “No one from Depor have talked to me, no one has phoned me and for this reason there are no references about Deportivo. We know that Víctor won’t continue, but for now we know nothing about Depor. Right now Paco is without a club and we are analysing the offers without making any plan.”

Meanwhile, on Wednesday Jémez himself talked to Radio Cadena Cope and didn’t hesitate in admitting that he will like to train Deportivo, “Only a few coaches will say no to Depor. Beyond the fact that my family live there, it’s a club in a growing process and with a great future. "Depor have a project for the future that's important and that's what I need. If there's the chance I will be there."

“I go on the street and am stunned, because people ask me to coach Depor and I love it, because they are demonstrating their love. I am surprised by this love and for how people seem to be clear about this idea.” He added.
