The club is opening the doors to see Juan Dominguez leaving Deportivo in a loan deal. They want to avoid the situation of last year, time when he only played five games at Primera División.

It’s pretty clear that Juan Dominguez is close to leave Deportivo. The large number of centre midfielders at the first team, plus the situation lived on last year, with the Galician player only having 185 minutes in liga, are pushing to this situation as the club doesn’t want to have him stuck for a full campaign.

He cannot be considered as a “young player” (he’s 26), but the club is convinced that he can be important starting on next season, that’s why the plan is to loan him out ahead of the campaign 2016/17. It’s something that sporting director Richard Barral explained during last week’s press conference.

“He is a very important player to us, from the sporting sense to the social one. He is a great professional, always adding things either at the changing room or during the trainings, but we talked to him and agreed that it’s convenient to him to go out loaned in order to gain confidence and play games. So he can return to be the great player that we think he is. And if it isn’t possible then we will happy to have him. Juan Dominguez isn’t a problem to Deportivo, the opposite: he is a player for the house and a great asset. Several teams contacted us; two or three teams want him on loan, including a foreign club from a Primera league.” He said.

For now it isn’t public the name of the foreign club that contacted Deportivo, but it’s already know that up to five Segunda clubs have made contacts as they are interested in a loan deal: Getafe CF, RCD Mallorca, Real Oviedo, Cordoba CF & Real Zaragoza

Juan Dominguez has been playing at Depor’s first team since 2009 and last season was the one in which he had the lesser participation, either for physical problems or simply because former coach Víctor Sánchez preferred other options:
