FINDING AN EXIT FOR LUISINHO

29 Jun 2016
In two weeks the pre-season will start and it seems that Luisinho will be there as the club has been unable to find an exit. His buyout clause is €5 million and no one in Spain seems eager to pay for his services.

Both president Tino Fernández and sporting director Richard Barral clearly explained in past weeks that the future of Luisinho isn’t attached to Deportivo after the incident that he and his agent, Jorge Teixeira, had with former coach Víctor Sánchez.

But it isn’t so easy to dispatch a player under these circumstances when he still has two more years in his contract. The club wants him out, but also wants to capitalize with it. And despite his release clause is only €5 million, no one in Spain want to pay for a player under these circumstances.

During the past winter window it was mentioned that Malaga CF were interested, but now that interest is gone. According to La Voz de Galicia the agent has only received offers from foreign clubs, propositions that aren’t convincing the player as he prefers to stay in Spain. The same source also claims that there hasn’t been any contact between the club and Teixeira.

This means that it’s highly probable that Luisinho will start making the pre-season with the first team, unless the club gives him permission to skip the first days and thus avoid the contact between the Portuguese left-back and the rest of the players.
