The season 2015/16 ends today and Deportivo already have 21 players for the next campaign. However, a lot of movements are still expected. At least six more signings are yet to be completed, which means that players will leave.

The season 2016/17 starts with Deportivo having 21 players at the first team, it’s a good number to launch the pre-season, which starts on next Thursday, but the point is that at least six of these men will end leaving as the club prefers to loan them out or terminate their contracts, while it hopes to fill the spots with at least six new signings.

It means that at least twelve more operations between exits and arrivals are expected to occur, and sporting director Richard Barral warned that some important arrivals won’t be at the club at the moment of starting the pre-season stage, “I believe the major part of the squad will be ready for July 7, but I consider that at least one important player will be missing.” He said on last week.

There are nine players that end their link with Deportivo today: goalkeepers Manu, Fabricio Agosto and Stipe Pletikosa, centre-back Albert Lopo, right-back Juanfran Moreno, midfielder Cani, playmaker Cani, winger Jonás Gutiérrez plus attackers Jonathan Rodriguez and Luis Alberto.

Then there are twenty-one players that are under contract ahead of the season 2016/17. Thirteen ended the previous season playing for the team: goalkeeper German Lux, right-backs Laure and Manuel Pablo, centre-backs Alejandro Arribas and Sidnei Rechel, left-backs Luisinho and Fernando Navarro, centre-midfielders Álex Bergantiños, Celso Borges, Pedro Mosquera and Fayçal Fajr, plus strikers Lucas Pérez and Oriol Riera.

Five men are returning after ending last season loaned at other clubs: Pablo Insua, Bicho, Saul Fernández, Luis Fernández and Miguel Cardoso.  Three are new signings: wingers Bruno Gama and Emre Çolak, plus attacker Borja Valle. Finally, to point out the first exit: Juan Dominguez, who has been loaned to RCD Mallorca.

The five men returning from their loans are open to leave again in the same figure, and the chapter of departures should be completed with Luisinho. Other cases of players that could end leaving are Manuel Pablo and Oriol Riera, plus the possible exits in case of receiving good offers as it could be the caser with Lucas Pérez.
