RÓBER LOANED TO LEVANTE

07 Jul 2016
Centre-back Róber Pier has been loaned to Levante UD for the season 2016/17. The former captain of Fabril debuted at Primera on last season and will now perform at Segunda.

Deportivo confirmed on Wednesday that Róber Pier will play loaned at Levante UD ahead of the campaign 2016/17. The 21-year-old centre-back debuted on last season at Primera playing twice in the competition plus making four appearances in Copa Del Rey.

The A Coruńa-born defender made 110 appearances with Depor B between Tercera and the playoffs within the last four seasons. He was picked to make the pre-season stage with the first team, but the club always thought that the best was a loan in a Segunda club and the possibility was materialized on Wednesday.

The defender is following the steps of Pablo Insua, who last season joined CD Leganés and had a great season that was crowned with the promotion. At Levante, Róber will be in a team that’s a candidate for the first places and that has the promotion as the main goal.

This is the third departure announced by club among the players that were under contract for the new season. Juan Dominguez was loaned to RCD Mallorca, while winger Miguel Cardoso rescinded his contract early on this week.
