Juanfran Moreno returns to Depor in a new loan deal, this time the operation is including a buyout option. The player will join the trainings on Wednesday.

Deportivo confirmed on Tuesday that Juanfran Moreno is returning to A Coruña. Previously it was reported that the Madrilenian was going to sign a four-year contract as the Galicians were paying a transfer fee to Watford FC, but in the end the operation is reported as a third straight loan deal, with the difference that this time it includes a buyout option. The amount of the option wasn’t revealed. The player should join the trainings on Wednesday.

Juanfran has played loaned at Depor during the last two seasons. For the campaign 2014/15, he was the fourth player with more minutes and the second new signing with more participation at the team. Former coach Víctor Fernández liked him for his multifunctional skills as he can perform as a winger and also as a right-back defender.

He was constant in his performance, though also criticized for his lack of aim with the crosses and his poor passing ratio (only 72% that season). With the arrival of Víctor Sánchez, he was used him more as a winger as he started to play with a system with four full-backs on the field. He completed 24 appearances as a right-back and 10 as a winger.

For the season 2015/16, Juanfran was again a player fulfilling multifunctional tasks, this since he had to perform in three different positions, always without leaving a too convincing impression. The Madrilenian made 35 league appearances, normally acting as a right-back, but also played three times as a left-back and another six as a right winger. An important piece in the defensive puzzle of Víctor Sánchez, though again frequently criticized for his lack of aim with the crosses.
