Deportivo announced the signing of Marlos Moreno, the official confirmation was delayed as Manchester City negotiated again with Atlético Nacional the terms of the transfer. The player will arrive late to Depor as needs vacation time.

Manchester City completed the signing of Colombian forward Marlos Moreno until Saturday and immediately it was announced that he was going to play loaned at Deportivo for one season. The player arrived to A Coruña during last weekend, but the deal was official until now as the “Citiziens” and Atlético Nacional were negotiating again the terms of the transfer. This delay caused that the player couldn’t be presented during the week with the rest of Depor’s signings.

Originally reported as £10 million (€8.48 million) transfer for the 100% of the player’s right. It ended to be a deal for £4.75 million (€4.03 million) for the 65% of the rights. The 19-year-old moves to the Etihad on a five-year deal and the first year he will play loaned at Deportivo.

Since Moreno just ended his participation with Atlético Nacional, he needs vacation time and will join Depor’s training camp until the end of August, therefore he will not be available at least for the first two games in liga. He talked about his goal at Depor when he talked to Manchester City website, “I’ve always wanted to win everything, to be a champion. Now I want to live the experience, to play and make the most of it.”
