The players without minutes in liga performed now and also nine players from the academy; Compostela was a hard rival in the first part, but fell down in the second.

Coach Gaizka Garitano used the friendly to give minutes to the players that didn’t have a chance against SD Eibar and also to players coming from the academy, including Juvenil A striker Víctor Eimil, who was picked for the first time. Only Carles Gil and Rubén Albentosa were repeating their presence compared to the first game in liga.

The game started with the surprise of the local goal, SD Compostela, who during the weekend lost 1-5 against Fabril, scored the goal after a cross of Cabrejo was headed by Rubén Martínez when Tytoń failed to block the ball. After it the game was completely dominated by Deportivo.

Çolak had the first chance for Deportivo with an attempt that went over the crossbar (12’). Five minutes later Andone was close to score with downward heard after a cross by Luisinho, local goalie Manu Cedrón made the save.

Andone was also close to score at minute 25, this time the striker hit the post after a cross from Çolak in a free-kick action.  Three minutes later Carles Gil attempted a shot from the edge of the area that was deflected to corner-kick. Both Gil and Çolak were the most active player for Depor in the first part.

At minute 32, Andone was close to score again after a solo-play at the edge of the area, and Cedrón made a great save clearing the ball to corner-kick, and two minutes later Depor scored the equalizer. It was a cross by Laure that was deflected and Celso Borges caught the loose ball to net the equalizer.

Juan Cabrejo had a chance to score at minute 38, but his long-distance attempt was stopped by Tytoń, that was one of the few chances for Compostela in the half. Depor spent the major part of the time trying to attack, mainly on both wings, but the local defensive line was containing the danger, so the score was 1-1 at half-time.

For the second half the entire team was changed, the eight players from Fabril and Víctor entered the field, also Marlos Moreno, who was having his first minutes in Europe. And the Colombian striker started the play of the second goal, he stole the ball and assisted Borja Domingo, who scored the goal.

The third arrived soon as Óscar Díaz drilled the ball into the area after a corner-kick action and found centre-back Hugo Díaz, who scored with a low attempt. Marlos Moreno was the most active player in the second part, his speed was overflowing a rival that was confused after the changes made at half-time.

Borja Domingo scored his second in the game after connecting a new cross by Óscar García.  At minute 60, Marlos Moreno left glimpses of his speed after creating a good chance to score that was blocked by substitute goalie Manu, but the best player was Pol Calvet, who controlled the traffic at midfield.

The Catalan didn’t play in liga with Fabril during the past weekend and he shone now, he was the one that gave the assist to Borja Domingo, who scored the fifth and his third in the game through a strong shot from the edge of the area. Depor had the ball in the remaining of the game, but there were no more goals.
