THINKING OF REAL BETIS

25 Aug 2016
Garitano has again a full squad available for la liga; the rival is coming from losing and is pending to complete the squad after a moved transfer window.

For the second straight week coach Gaizka Garitano has a full squad available for a liga meeting. Attacker Marlos Moreno joined the trainings one week ago and is already working at the same pace than the group, but still needing time to adapt and it’s probable that he won’t be picked for Friday’s game against Real Betis (Benito Villamarín stadium, 20h45 CET).

Without novelties on the pitch, it seems that now the interest is in the transfer market. The window will be closed in one week and the interest is focused in what could happen with Sidnei Rechel and Lucas Pérez, the latter is now a target of Everton FC, but for now is expected to play in the second matchday.

At Real Betis, the club has been busy in the transfer market. They have invested €19 million so far, but still looking for reinforcements. They are currently trying to sign a centre-back and, like Deportivo, are also pending to not lose their top-scorer; this after <>Rubén Castro has been linked with a move to Qatar.

Centre midfielder Jonás Martínez is out of the game against Depor. The new signing suffered an ankle injury in the past meeting against FC Barcelona and will be sidelined for a month. It was expected that David López was going to replace him in the roster, the midfielder was about to sign coming from SSC Napoli, but the deal is blocked and the player won’t be ready before Friday. Meanwhile, left-back Álex Martínez returns after been out with a muscle problem.
