Florin Andone is not worried for not scoring yet; he is willing to score as soon as possible, but says that this situation isn’t affecting his mood.

Striker Florin Andone conceded a press conference on Thursday; he is not feeling the pressure for not scoring yet and previews a victory over Sporting Gijón for Saturday. He was firstly asked about his adaptation to the team, “I’m pretty fine [with a smile in his face] Zero nerves [again smiling] I don’t care what they say. I am happy to be here. I am content for playing, also for the confidence of the coach and the players. I am calm, I am 28 and am playing at Primera División and with the national team of Romania, so why I should be worried?”

Then the striker was asked about his lack of goal, “Everybody ask and everybody is commenting. I'm calm, because I know the goals will come. Nobody would be saying anything if the goal against Athletic wouldn't have been ruled offside or if the shot against Leganés would have entered instead of hitting the post. But has the goals haven’t arrived then people are talking of my adaptation, but I am happy and at 100% great. Don’t worry; we are going to score a lot on this season.  Off course I am frustrated if I don’t score and if we lose, but we must continue working.”

The Romanian player explained how he would celebrate his first goal at Depor, “I will scream it, because I want to score. I won’t lie to you [he laughed] Secondly the strikers live of the goal and I am not worried, as long as I play, it means I am doing something good. It’s a matter of time. It’s not how you start and neither how you end, but how you do throughout the 38 matchdays. It’s a matter of been there.”

He believes that the team is fine despite the last results, “The team is fine, and the results haven’t been with us on this week. Against Leganés we deserved the victory and against Atlético Madrid we gave everything and worked hard. Truly Atlético is Atlético at the Calderón, but all the players worked at the top. A new rival on Saturday and the idea is to add the three points.”

Finally, Andone is convinced that Deportivo will win on Saturday hosting Sporting Gijón, “Surely they come in order to win, but we have a winning mentality and the mentality to keep the control over the rival. I am convinced that we are going to win and make a good game for the happiness of the people. It’s too soon to talk of a final, if you win two straight games then you end eighth or seventh. The finals start on matchday 30. For me it’s ridiculous to talk of a final at this point.”
