Garitano will miss Albentosa for the visit to Granada CF. Joselu joined the trainings on this week and should be available at the end of the month.

Raúl Albentosa is the main casualty for coach Gaizka Garitano ahead of the visit to Granada CF (Saturday, 13h00 CET). The centre-back picked the fifth yellow card of the season during the home game with Valencia CF and is suspended for the meeting, which means that Alejandro Arribas will enter the starting formation for the fourth time on this season.

Apart from that, Garitano has been receiving good news during this week; starting with striker Joselu Mato. He suffered a knee sprain in his debut back in September and this week he started to work alongside the group, which means that by the end of the month he might be available to play.

The rest of the squad is healthy, striker Florin Andone has surpassed the adductor issues had on last week, while right-back Juanfran Moreno and centre midfielder Celso Borges are fine after been replaced in Monday’s game against Valencia CF due to tiredness.

Juanfran also had gastric problems on this week, but he will be available. Right-back Laure missed the game with Valencia CF due to a personal problem, but he joined the trainings on Thursday and will also be available.

At Granada CF, the game is seen as a final, not only because they consider Deportivo as a direct rival, but also for the delicate situation at the standings with the Andalusian side remaining at the bottom place and as the only winless side at Primera.

Coach Lucas Alcaraz is not feeling any pressure to get a positive result from this game as he just joined the club (he signed on October 3 replacing Paco Jémez), but his team urgently needs the points in order to reduce the anxiety and to not lose the track of the other teams at the bottom of the standings.

The good thing for Alcaraz is that he is only having one casualty for Saturday’s game. It’s full-back Dimitri Foulquier, who is out since September due to a muscle injury. The Frenchman has been training apart and will join the group in the coming days.

Meanwhile, centre-back Gastón Silva received the medical okay to play on this week after been out for a month due to a stress fracture. Goalkeeper Ivan Kelava is also available after surpassing an ankle sprain.
