Important game for Deportivo as last-place CA Osasuna visit the Riazor. Bruno Gama is recovered while the rival arrives in the middle of a crisis due to the injuries.

Last liga game in 2016, Deportivo arrive to the meeting knowing that it won’t spend the holidays in relegation, but also knowing that this is an important game for been facing a direct rival as CA Osasuna visit the Riazor (Sunday, 18h30 CET).

Coach Gaizka Garitano is only having one casualty at the squad, it’s captain Laureano Sanabria ‘Laure, who remains sidelined due to a Soleus problem. Right winger Bruno Gama is recovered from a muscle problem. He trained with the group all week long and already received the medical okay to play during Friday.

There’s a game in midweek too as Depor host Real Betis in the second-leg for Copa Del Rey, but the coach won’t make rotations on Sunday as this is the main game for the Galicians. So, the rotations might come for the latter game.

Meanwhile, these are difficult times at CA Osasuna, the Navarrans are the bottom team in la liga and the arrival of coach Joaquín Caparrós hasn’t changed things as he remains winless. To make things worse, there’s a plague of injuries that’s liming the number of available players to only eighteen.

Just in the game with FC Barcelona, they suffered two new casualties. Centre-back Miguel Flaño picked a serious knee injury that will leave him out for the rest of the season, while fullback Oier Sanjurjo picked a knock, though he is also suspended after seeing the fifth yellow card on the season.

These two new setbacks are joining three previous injury cases: Right-back Javier Flaño, midfielder Didier Digard (both knee ligaments) and winger Imanol García (hamstring). Another casualty is striker Oriol Riera, who is ineligible to play as Deportivo is his parent club.

With these six casualties for the game at the Riazor, the coach only has eighteen available players, and there are two doubts as left-back Carlos Clerc (ankle knock) and goalkeeper Mario Fernández (muscle) haven’t trained within the last two days and are doubtful for the match, so if they aren’t ready then Caparrós will have to pick two lads from the B squad in order to fill the gaps.
