Garitano will only miss Fajr and Ola John for Friday’s game at the Riazor, while Real Betis face important casualties, starting with Joaquín and Sanabria.

Coach Gaizka Garitano has plenty of options for the home game against Real Betis (Friday, 20h45 CET). For the second straight week the Basque manager has almost his entire squad available for the league meeting.

And for the second straight week the only two players out are Fayçal Fajr and Ola John. The playmaker already ended his participation with Morocco in the African Cup and he returned on Tuesday to A Coruña, but the coaching staff decided to give him some rest and the player will return to train until Monday. In the case of the Dutch winger, he remains training with the group but still needs fitness and won’t be picked for the game.

Garitano could name an unchanged team for Friday’s match, though he has the option to recall Luisinho and use him on the left wing. Another doubt is to see if Arribas will keep the spot at the centre of the defence or if Albentosa will return after been dropped from the lineup in the last two games.

Real Betis arrive to the Riazor with Víctor Sánchez on board and after making a great game before FC Barcelona, but the ex-Depor boss is having important casualties for the meeting. Striker Toni Sanabria (quadriceps) and winger Joaquin (knee sprain) are out of the game, the first was a real headache for the Galicians during the Copa series and the latter is very important in attack after scoring three goals and providing four assists.

There are other two players out for injury reasons: centre midfielder Darko Brašanac (shoulder) and centre-back José Carlos (groin). Then four men are doubtful after skipping the last two sessions: fullback Cristiano Piccini (muscle), centre midfielder Jonas Martin (adductor), winger Álvaro Cejudo (Soleus) and centre midfielder Felipe Gutiérrez (knee).

The Andalusians were very active in the last week of the winter market, they signed playmaker Rubén Pardo (Real Sociedad) and centre-back Alin Tosca (Steaua București), while on deadline day striker Roman Zozulya was sent on loan to Rayo Vallecano, but the deal collapsed one day later as the player wasn’t wanted by the fans.
