Garitano is only missing Davy Roef as Deportivo start to reach the moment of definition in liga. The rival is living a sweet moment after reaching the final in Copa De Rey and without having major casualties.

Important game for Deportivo as Alavés visit the Riazor on Saturday (18h30 CET). It’s a double occasion for the Galicians, first for been a direct rival towards the permanence and secondly, because it is the first of the ten home games remaining in the schedule that should pave the way to one more year at the elite.

Once again coach Gaizka Garitano has only one casualty at his squad, it is goalkeeper Davy Roef, who remains sidelined with an ankle sprain. With 22 men available the coach will have to rule out at least four players before releasing the roster.

During the week Garitano has insisted during the trainings in the pressure and the fact of committing fouls in order to cut the counterattack from the rival, something he also complained after the defeat with Athletic Club. It seems the coach is ready to repeat the lineup that played at San Mamés, though with the doubt if Arribas could be playing in the place of Albentosa.

At Deportivo Alavés, the Basque team completed a sensational start of year with the pass to the final in Copa Del Rey and the fact of been far from the drop zone in liga, this strong start was only stained by the 0-6 loss at home against FC Barcelona. The best news is that coach Mauricio Pellegrino has practically a full squad available after been competing in two fronts during two months.

Now, with the final scheduled until May 27, Alavés can focus only in la liga and won’t need rotations anymore. The only player out for the game against Depor is winger Édgar Méndez . He was the hero that scored the goal against RC Celta that granted the pass to the final, but minutes later picked a muscle injury that will keep him out for three weeks.
