Deportivo had a slight decrease in the attendances to the Riazor during the season 2016/17: 3%. Still, the Galicians were the ninth club with the best average among the elite.

The average attendance to the Riazor during the season 2016/17 was 22,368, thatís a decrease of 3% compared to the 23,113 of the previous campaign. The main explanation is the poor campaign of the team and it occurred despite the increase in the number of socios passing from 26,149 to 26,510 (1% increase).

Despite the decrease, this average is the ninth best mark among the clubs at Primera Divisiůn and itís one of the thirteen thatís below the average of la liga (27,597). Depor are also one of the twelve Primera clubs that suffered a decrease compared to the previous campaign.

According to website, La Liga had and attendance of 10,486,801 throughout the 38 matchdays of the season that has just ended, thatís a decrease of 0.4%. Despite the decrease, itís an important number as La Liga passed the milestone of ten million spectators for the second straight time.

Despite the average attendance to the Riazor can be considered as something positive, there still room for improvement. Because the Riazor has a capacity for 32,912 spectators, that means that the average attendance is only the 64.60% of capacity at the stadium. This is the fifth worst percentage in la liga only above Valencia CF (61.7%), Real Betis (60.4%), RC Celta (58.1%) and RCD Espanyol (49.6%).
