Striker Florin Andone is feeling comfortable at Deportivo; he doesn’t want to leave and instead wants to improve his scoring record in the new season.

Florin Andone talked to reporters after Wednesday’s training, he commented on the adaptation to the pre-season, “Little by little we are better, it’s normal that things are difficult at the beginning until getting the pace, but the pre-season is for that. You try to feel better each day and reach la liga in the best possible way.”

He is also aware of the lack of reinforcements for the attacking positions, “It seems the team is not defined, but that’s not my department. We are feeling fine and little by little are getting the pace. Everybody is trying to please the coach and reach the start in liga in the best possible way.”

About the expectations for the new season, the Romanian said that, “Last season we had a hard time, the fans were always with us and we must thank that. Now, we must try to give back the joy. We will try to be protagonists having the ball.”

Asked about what changes for Pepe Mel having the team since the beginning of the season, he commented that, “We are working since a situation of calm. We still have a month and a half and the coach has the option of meeting the players, especially the new ones. He has the time to try new things, systems, players in new positions, and he has a lot of time to define the players that he wants, the system and the things he wants us to do throughout the season.”

The Pichichi of last season also said that he wants to improve his scoring record, “I would love to improve it. Last year I had a hard time trying to get the pace, and I hope this year will be different. I want to improve the numbers, score goals, bring assists and help the team.”

Then he commented that it isn’t in the plans to leave Deportivo, “I have a four-year contract and the club isn’t thinking in allowing my exit. I am highly committed with the club, highly committed with the team, willing to do things better. For the moment there’s no limit and this is the right place, because I feel loved by the fans, the partners and the club.”

He admitted the interest of SC Sporting, “I understand that it was true, according to my agent, it’s something to thank, to see good teams thinking of you, but my head is at Deportivo. I want to have minutes and try to repeat the participation of last year. I want to be here. I am not thinking of leaving. I feel calm on here. What Deportivo offer to me cannot be matched by anyone else.”

Finally, Andone commented in the possible return of Lucas Pérez, “It will be pretty cool, for Deportivo and in general. Lucas is a great striker and is loved in A Coruña. The players that give a lot are always welcomed, especially since he is from here. It will be great for the team and for me too, because it will surely improve my game. It will be perfect for Deportivo, for me and also for him. If he doesn’t come, then we will wait for him on next season.”
