The pre-season ended in a special way as Pepe Mel scheduled a stage in Vilalba in order to motivate the coexistence. The team played the last friendly at Tenerife, while Carles Gil is the only player that remains injured.

The pre-season of Deportivo ended with the sixth week of work. It was a different week as the team was concentrated in Vilalba, five of the training sessions took place at the A Magdalena stadium, one took place at Los Cuartos stadium in Tenerife and the other one at Abegondo.

Coach Pepe Mel reserved the last week in the pre-season in order to develop the coexistence and motivate the comradeship among the players, he even scheduled two sessions with a psychiatrist. He also named the team’s captains during the week (Mosquera, Borges, Sidnei, Juanfran & Navarro).

During the training sessions, the coach continued emphasizing the same tactical aspects related to the ball possession, the pressure on the pitch and the offensive moves after regaining the ball. The week ended with the last pre-season game visiting CD Tenerife (3-0 win)

Adrián arrived to A Coruña late on the week and trained at the gym twice, so the coach continued working with 25 players during the group sessions, two of those players were academy lads Francis and Edu Expósito, only the latter had to chance to play against Tenerife.

The pre-season ended with only one injury case to have in mind: Carles Gil. The winger has missed the last three weeks due to a groin injury (pubalgy). Pepe Mel even hinted during the week that, if there isn’t any progress in the coming days, then the doctors will decide to follow the path of a surgery as the solution for the problem.
