Soft week for Deportivo as the team only had three training sessions plus a friendly match. Four men are out still injured, while Lucas is doubtful.

Calm week at Deportivo, the comfort after the win over Getafe CF and the international break brought some relaxation to Abegondo. The team only completed three training sessions and also played a friendly game against Corinthians.

The trainings were tactical sessions with the team emphasizing aspects like the ball possession and the transitions defence-attack. Six men skipped the trainings at Abegondo as they were concentrated with their national teams: Fabian Schär (Switzerland), Przemysław Tytoń (Poland), Fede Valverde (Uruguay), Celso Borges (Costa Rica), Florin Andone and Costel Pantilimon (both Romania)

Bakkali had been picked by U21 Belgium, but was dropped in the last cut.  In the friendly with Corinthians (7-0), coach Pepe Mel presented a starting lineup with seven players that weren’t starters against Getafe CF, the other three were players from Fabril: Francis, Edu Expósito and Óscar García.

Four men are still out injured, while Lucas Pérez is doubtful. The striker is dragging a muscle problem on his left thigh since last week, scans were made on Friday and the club hasn’t released the results yet.

The men injured are Carles Gil Rubén Martínez, Pedro Mosquera and Adrián López. Carles Gil is presenting a positive progression. He already started to complete some exercises on the pitch and could be back before Christmas.

Rubén works alongside the rest of goalkeepers, and he already can touch the ball with his hands as his thumb injury has healed. He could be available for the visit to SD Eibar. Meanwhile Mosquera (thigh) and Adrián (hamstring) worked all week long with the physiotherapists, only the striker has chances to be available for next week’s game in liga.
