It was feared the striker was going to miss at least a month due to a muscle problem on his right thigh, in the end it was only a contusion and Lucas could even be ready for the visit to Eibar.

Lucas Pérez could be available for the visit to SD Eibar, it will depend on how the striker feels at the end of the week. It called the attention the absence of the Galician player for the friendly against Corinthians, then the club clarified that he was complaining of pain on his right thigh and that scans were going to be made.

The scans were made between Thursday and Friday, however the club released the medical report until Saturday. Before, on Friday, the media started to speculate that Lucas suffered a tear in a muscle, which would mean to be out of action between three and four weeks.

La Voz de Galicia even reported that the scans were showing a small tear in the muscle, and that the player was going to be out for two weeks, but then the club reported that the problem is only a contusion. So, in the end Lucas could be available for the next game, though the better thing would to be to reserve him.

Coach Pepe Mel already expressed his concerns in pushing Lucas too much as he could suffer a major muscle injury, and his concern could leave to rest the player for the visit to SD Eibar. Two men that have been out, Adrián López and Rubén Martínez, could be available for the trip to Ipurúa as it’s expected that both will join the group since Monday.
