Busy week for Deportivo as the Galician team faces three games in eight days, and Seedorf losses Albentosa and Bakkali. Adrián is also doubtful for Friday.

The pressure is bigger at Deportivo as the results aren’t arriving, now the team faces a busy week with three liga games to be played in a frame of eight days. On Friday Depor are hosting RCD Espanyol (Riazor, 21h00 CET), then the Galicians visit SD Eibar on Wednesday (19h30 CET) to end the period with a home game against SD Eibar (Saturday, 18h30 CET).

And Clarence Seedorf is having problems as the casualties are arriving just when the calendar becomes tighter. Fede Valverde is already out of these three meetings due to the hamstring injury that he picked against Real Betis.

Another two men that will probably miss the three matches are centre-back Raúl Albentosa. and keeper Maksím Kóval The Valencian centre-back picked a muscle injury on his left thigh during the week and is out for the first two meetings and is already doubtful for next weekend’s game with SD Eibar.

In the case of Kóval, he has a double fracture in a finger of his left hand; he doesn’t want to be operated as he wants to play. He has asked to immobilize his left hand as the Ukrainian wants to help, but the doctors already ruled him out of the first two games.

There’s a fourth casualty for this Friday’s game that’s already confirmed: Zakaria Bakkali. The Belgian winger is suspended after picking the fifth yellow card of the season in the previous game visiting Alavés.

Meanwhile, Striker Adrián López was also expected to miss the first two games. The Asturian attacker suffered a grade I muscle injury on his left knee during Monday’s training, but on Wednesday he was training with the group and the doctors will make a final decision on Thursday. So, he still has the chance to play on Friday.

In the case of centre-back Sidnei Rechel, he has been out since the game with Levante UD (January 27) and is only expecting to receive the okay from doctors. But it’s not certain that he will be available for Friday as Seedorf already said that he prefers to wait until he is 100% ready. So, if Adrián and Sidnei end out for Friday, then the coach will only have 18 men available at the first team.

Seedorf has continued to do different stuff during the training sessions, on this week he scheduled two sessions per day on Monday and Tuesday, this time without a concentration for the meal, but with the team divided in groups as they were making specialized tasks (defence or attack). Midfielder Sulleyman Ali Muntari already started to train with the group, though the club hasn’t decided yet if he will be inscribed for the league competition.

RCD Espanyol arrive to the meeting after six straight games without victories, the bad results of the last places keep them nine points away from the drop zone, but there’s a sense of discomfort in Barcelona as the team isn’t transmitting positive sensations.

Coach Quique Sánchez Flores is having a full squad available for the visit to the Riazor. There aren’t injuries and neither suspensions; the coach faced the last three games without casualties, but the Catalans were only able to chain three straight draws.
