Pedro Sánchez is the fourth signing of the season 2018/19. He signs a two-year deal after rescinding with Granada CF

On Thursday, Pedro Antonio Sánchez was announced as signing by Deportivo. The winger completed the medicals and pens a two-year contract with the Galician club after rescinding with Granada CF. He is 31.

Pedro Sánchez is a veteran player with a professional career that has lasted a decade, he never stepped at Primera, but already completed 301 appearances at Segunda. The main characteristic in his long career is inconsistency, because he has been described as a player that starts strong in every season, but that ends decreasing his performance.

A clear example was saw in the last season with Granada CF, the Andalusians were targeting the promotion and Sánchez had a strong start been a fixed starter for 27 matchdays (he scored six goals within the first eighteen games), but later lost the spot and turned to be a substitute (eight appearances coming out from the bench since matchday 29).

Similar were his stages with Córdoba CF (2012-2014) and Real Zaragoza (2014-2016). His main success came on the campaign 2013/14 as he helped Córdoba CF to clinch the promotion to Primera, though later he didn’t stay at the team. His main failure was with Elche CF for the season 2016/17, this for suffering the demotion to Segunda B.

The Valencian player is described as a right winger with the needed skills with the ball to also perform as a playmaker and sometimes has been used as a left-back, though with Granada CF he was also used as a centre forward.

This is the fourth reinforcement for Deportivo ahead of the season 2018/19 after the signings of goalkeeper Dani Giménez, left-back Sebastián Dubarbier and the return of midfielder Álex Bergantiños.
