Another matchday, another defeat for Fabril. The lads were condemned by a poor first part in which the rival was better.

Coach Tito Ramallo was missing winger Bicho, but left-back Lucas Viña was recovered from his arm injury and he went directly into the starting eleven. It was the only change compared to the team that lost against Unión Adarve.

The draw was a 4-2-3-1 figure. Pedro López was the starting goalie, Blas Alonso covered the right side in defence, Lucas played on the left, Gaizka Martínez and Quique Fornos were the centre-backs. Carlos López and Sébastien Salles-Lamonge were the centre midfielders, Juan Jesús Argüez ‘Juanje’ attacked from the left wing, Víctor García did it from the right, Joni Montiel was the playmaker and Uxío Dapena was the centre

The rival was UD San Sebastián Los Reyes, another Madrilenian club trying to survive at Segunda B. Coach Manolo Cano was relying in Sergio Castel and Cristian Perales for the goals.

A game with two different halves, in the first Fabril was inferior against a arrival that seized the moment to score the winning goal. Later the Galician lads improved, but were unable to score. The game started with a scary injury of keeper Xabi Irureta, he was trying to collect a low cross from the left and in the process he collided with Uxío (5’). He stayed on the ground for five minutes and was stretched off, later it as informed that he suffered a jaw fracture (The game had a delay of ten minutes).

Shortly after Uxio had to leave the pitch with a muscle problem, he was replaced by Guillermo May. The modifications affected the pace of the meeting, and the first attempt to score came until minute 17, it was a shot of Perales from the edge of the area that missed the target.

San Sebastián Los Reyes was slightly better in the following minutes, because the Madrilenians didn’t have any clear chance, but at least were arriving into the edge of the area, while Fabril barely connected three straight passes.

Cristian Fernández ‘Agüero’ was close to score with a long-distance shot that passed close to the crossbar (31’), and three minutes later the visiting side found the winning goal. It was a corner-kick from the left that Álvaro Sazo headed home.

Fabril only created danger until minute 38 and it was a direct free-kick of Salles-Lamonge that passed close to the post. At minute 42, Pedro López barely deflected a lateral free-kick that was going in without touching anyone. In the resulting corner-kick Rivada was heading the ball again in a corner-kick action, this time the ball went close to the far post.

The best chances for Fabril came at the last minutes of the first half; the first one was a corner-kick at the left from Víctor García, it was a high cross that the whole defense missed to clear, the ball surprised Juanje as he wasn’t expecting it and it hit his hand and ended in the arms of visiting goalie Carlos Morales (45+8’), and one minute later Salles-Lamonge couldn’t connect properly a cross from the left as he was marked by two men.

The second part started with two chances for Fabril, in the first Carlos López sent the ball over the crossbar firing from long-distance (47’), one minute later Montiel fired a low shot from a similar position and the ball went close to the near post.

Then San Sebastián Los Reyes had a disallowed goal, Galindo found the ball at the edge of the area after a rebound, and fired a low shot that ended at the back of the net, but the play was disallowed as an attacker was offside, he was stepping into the zone in which the ball was going (50’).

Fabril started to push. At minute 60, a corner from the left couldn’t be connected by anyone, that action was followed by two straight corner-kicks and Depor’s lads were already deserving the equalizer. At minute 62, Fornos found the ball at the edge of the area after a corner-kick, and his low shot went close to the far post.

The game was pretty defined for the last 20 minutes: Fabril were having the ball and surrounded the visiting area, while San Sebastián Los Reyes were waiting to end the game with a counterattack. They found cracks at the local defence, but were failing making the last pass. Their best chance was a counterattack that allowed Carlitos to fire from the right side of the area and Pedro López made the save.

Iago Gandoy ad Adrián Castro replaced Fornos and Gaizka Martínez as Ramallo was desperate to tie the game. They also suffered a disallowed goal, Víctor García entered the area by the left, his shot was blocked by a rival and the ball reached the path of Lucas Viña, who scored but, from an offside position (84’).

Fabril tried until the end, Joni Montiel had a good chance in a direct free-kick, but he only met the wall (90+3’). In the last play a corner-kick ended in nothing despite Pedro López had joined the attack in the attempt to find the equalizer (90+5’).

Fabril still losing games by details, truly the performance is bad and the team doesn’t leave positive feelings, but in this game it deserved more for the things done in the second half. It’s the seventh defeat after nine matchdays. The team remain in relegation, the next game is the visit to Coruxo FC (Sunday, 12h00 CET)
