MATCHDAY 12: CHANGE IN THE LEAD

Granada CF is the third leader this season, Depor remain with their positive streak and Real Zaragoza is in relegation for the first time in the campaign.

Málaga CF lost the lead in Segunda División after a defeat visiting CA Osasuna (2-1), the Andalusians were the leaders since matchday 02 and now Granada CF is at the top after a convincing 0-2 win at Real Zaragoza. It’s the third different leader after 12 matchdays.

Meanwhile, AD Alcorcón jumped into the third position after dispatching Rayo Majadahonda (2-0). Deportivo remain as the team with the best streak in the league as they extended their positive run to seven matches without losing after rescuing a point at UD Las Palmas (1-1), but the Galicians dropped a position and are now fourth.

Albacete Balompié are now fifth after a home victory over Gimnástic Tarragona (2-0); RCD Mallorca remain close to the promotion zone after rescuing a point visiting Real Oviedo (1-1), the same goes for Almeria UD after the Andalusians beat Sporting Gijón at home (2-1).

The defeat of Real Zaragoza at La Romareda meant that Los Maños have chained eight straight games without a victory and therefore they are now in relegation for the first time on the season. Córdoba CF remain in relegation, but the Andalusians came back from a 1-2 score against Extremadura UD to end winning 4-2.

Cádiz CF left the relegation zone after an impressive 5-1 win over Elche CF. The yellow team was trailing 0-1 at half-time, but scored five goals in a frame of 25 minutes in the second half to chain a second straight victory. Meanwhile, CD Tenerife is only one point above the pit after losing in their visit to CD Numancia (2-0), while CD Lugo and FC Reus remain in safe waters after starring in the only goalless game of this matchday.

MATCHDAY 13: TRICKY GAMES FOR THE LEADERS
Granada CF face a difficult game entertaining CD Numancia, while runners-up Málaga CF visit the always tough El Molinón to face Sporting Gijón. AD Alcorcón travel to Galicia in order to meet CD Lugo. Deportivo play at the Riazor entertaining Real Oviedo.
