Natxo González is pending to know if he can recover the major part of his midfielders, Krohn-Dehli, Didier Moreno and Nahuel might be the only ones missing the game.

The draw at home with Gimnástic brought more pressure into a team that now seems more comfortable playing on the road, and once again Deportivo have to go out of the Riazor in order to face a direct rival for the first two places:  Málaga CF (La Rosaleda, Sunday, 18h00 CET).

It seemed that coach Natxo González was going to continue missing players, but he received good news late on the week, because he is about to recover several men. Pedro Mosquera (muscle), Carlos Fernández (hamstring) and Vicente Gómez (foot sprain) are all training with the group and on Saturday the doctors will decide if they are ready or not.

There are good feelings with them, for that reason there wasn’t any Fabril’s player training with the first team during the week. So, it’s possible that the coach will only have three casualties for the game, The first one is midfielder Michael Krohn-Dehli (Achilles), ,who remains training apart without a fixed date for his return.

The other two are winger Nahuel Leiva and midfielder Didier Moreno. The first is serving the last game of his suspension after been sent off against Granada CF, while the Colombian is out after seeing a fifth yellow card against Nástic.

A novelty on this week is the appearance of midfielder Vitor Silva, the former placer of FC Reus is on trial and trained with the team during the whole week, but won’t be inscribed for the competition until defining the injury status of Michael Krohn-Dehli.

At Málaga CF, coach Juan Ramón López Muñiz has five confirmed casualties for the game. Left-backs Juankar (knee) and Miguel Torres (Achilles) are long term cases, but not sensitive at this point as they are out since the start of the season. The first was only able to play four games on the campaign, while the second hasn’t played yet.

Then, striker Hugo Vallejo is out with a muscle stress, he has only played twice in liga, so his absence isn’t critical. The more significant casualties are striker Mamadou Koné and centre midfielder Mehdi Lacen

Koné is out since November due to several issues, including an Achilles problem on his left leg that needed surgery. The Ivorian only played six times in liga, but was starting to gain shape after scoring a goal in each one of his last two appearances. In the case of the Argelian midfielder, he is dragging a muscle injury that prevented him to play against UD Las Palmas and Rayo Majadahonda.

The coach is also recovering midfielder Badr Boulahroud, the Moroccan had to leave Spain for three weeks due to a visa problem, but he joined the trainings on Thursday. Still, he won’t play against Depor as the coach prefers the options of Keidi Bare and Erik Morán.
