THINKING OF AD ALCORCÓN

03 Mar 2019
Carlos Fernández is out again as Depor face the first of three straight games at home. Nahuel and Didier Moreno return from suspension. The rival is slipping after a promising start.

Deportivo start a series of three home meetings, the hope is that the team can finally reach the first two positions. In the middle a break and it all starts on Monday with AD Alcorcón visiting the Riazor (21h00 CET).

Coach Natxo González recovers people, but also sees how the case of Carlos Fernández gets worse. The attacker has been going in and out due to muscle injuries, and in his last return he suffered a grade II muscle injury on the left leg that will leave him out for at least a month.

The comment is that the continues and unexpected stops after picking a serious knee injury at Sevilla CF have been affecting his muscles and, with the fact of not making a proper pre-season with the Galician team, it ended increasing his muscle problems.

The other player that will miss the game is Michael Krohn-Dehli, who still out for an undefined period of time due to an Achilles injury. The club still has the option to sign a replacement for any of the injured men, ironically the man that’s currently on trial, Vitor Silva, is also injured.

The Portuguese midfielder hasn’t trained all week long, apparently due to a minor injury (the club doesn’t release a medical statement as he isn’t part of the team), though Sportpaper AS reported that he had passed the medicals previous to his official signing.

About the rest, it’s all good news for Natxo González. Pedro Mosquera, Carlos Fernández and Vicente Gómez trained without problems throughout the week after joining the group in the last session before the visit to Málaga CF.

Left-back Diego Caballo picked a knock in the game at La Rosaleda, reason why he was wearing a bandage on his left leg during the week, but he should be fine. Meanwhile, Didier Moreno and Nahuel Levia are available after fulfilling their suspensions, the later was even tested as a possible starter.

At AD Alcorcón, the team coached by Cristóbal Parralo has had a mediocre 2019 so far, the Madrilenians have only added 10 points in the 9 games disputed in the year and are already out of the promotion zone, reason why they need to clinch a positive streak as soon as possible.

The ex-Depor coach is returning to the Riazor after been fired almost one year before, he will miss winter singing Fran Sandanza, the striker scored one of the goals in the victory over UD Las Palmas, but later picked a hamstring injury. The other two players missing the game due to injury reasons are left-back Carlos Bellvis and striker Víctor Casadesús.
