Only two visiting teams lost on this matchday, Depor dropped two points and are now fifth. No changes at the relegation zone.

The latest matchday at Liga 1|2|3 witnessed the success of the visiting teams, only two of them lost in this matchday, one of them was relegation-troubled Gimnástic Tarragona, side that lost visiting leaders CA Osasuna (1-0). The Navarrans have now added 16 of the last 18 points in dispute.

Granada CF are also in a positive run and added a 0-3 victory at Rayo Majadahonda. Albacete Balompié are the big losers as they lost at Cádiz CF (1-0). They are now third. Meanwhile, The Andalusians are now fifth as this is their fifth win on the road.

Malaga CF and Deportivo had bad days. The Andalusians barely rescued a point visiting Córdoba CF (1-1), while the Galicians dropped two points at the end of the home game against AD Alcorcón (2-2). Real Oviedo also dropped two points at the end of their home game against CD Lugo (1-1), the Asturians are now three points away from the promotion zone.

Meanwhile, UD Almeria achieved an important 1-2 win at Real Zaragoza and are now four points under the sixth place. The big news came with the 1-1 draw of UD Las Palmas hosting Extremadura UD, the Canarians are now nine points away from the sixth place and the result cost the job to Paco Herrera, who was replaced by ex-Depor coach Pepe Mel.

The situation at the top of the standings:

place team points GF GA
1 Osasuna 54 36 25
2 Granada 53 36 18
3 Albacete 50 36 22
4 Málaga 50 29 19
5 Deportivo 49 39 21
6 Cádiz 47 38 23
7 Oviedo 44 32 31
8 Almería 43 33 25

Nothing changed among the teams trying to avoid demotion; actually the last five places have been unable to win a game within the last five matchdays, with the exception of the direct meeting won by Córdoba CF at CD Tenerife (0-2). So, the clubs at mid-table remain calm. CD Numancia lost hosting Sporting Gijon (1-2), but remain ten points over the drop zone, while Elche CF are nine points over relegation after adding a draw visiting RCD Mallorca (1-1).

The situation at the bottom of the standings:

place team points GF GA
18 Lugo 28 27 36
19 Extremadura 24 30 40
20 Córdoba 22 33 51
21 Nástic 21 17 42
22 Reus 0 16 34

New big test for leaders CA Osasuna as they visit fourth place Málaga CF. Deportivo host UD Las Palmas, so Pepe Mel is debuting at the Riazor. There’s also an interesting game at Son Moix with promotion aspirants RCD Mallorca and Real Oviedo clashing for the three points.

CD Lugo are resting and the matchday is completed with other seven games: Sporting Gijón Vs. UD Almeria; Gimnástic Tarragona Vs. Albacete Balompié; Elche CF Vs. Cádiz CF; Rayo Majadahonda Vs. AD Alcorcón; Extremadura UD Vs. Córdoba CF; Granada CF Vs. Real Zaragoza & CD Tenerife Vs. CD Numancia.
