After three months missing the victory, Fabril won again and it did it in a big game against another relegated team.

Sad farewell to the season at Abegondo, Fabril were playing the last home game on the campaign and the rival was another team already relegated. Coach Luisito was only missing Guillermo May, the striker was out injured. Laracha’s Víctor Eimil debuted with the team.

Once again, the coach presented a scheme with five defenders. Álex Cobo covered the goal, Víctor Eimil played at the right side of the defence, Ignacio Abeledo did it at the left, the centre-backs were Mujaid Sadick, Steve One and Gaizka Martínez. Iago Gandoy and Salles-Lamonge were the midfielders, then Víctor García, Jonathan Montiel and Uxío Dapena composed the trident in attack.

The rival was CDA Navalcernero, coach José Portillo was full of injuries and only had 16 available players for the game. One of the players that was out was top-scorer Joaquín Cerdá (10 goals scored), therefore the reference in attack was Juan Esnaider.

Rounded game for Fabril, the team never suffered and seized its best opportunities to score three goals. The local team had the initiative since the kick-off and this time it found an early goal. Iago Gandoy started the play and assisted Salles-Lamonge, who later drilled a pass to see Uxío Dapena scoring from close range.

The game was entertaining as both sides weren’t stressed with the need to add. Uxío could have increased the lead with a strong shot from the edge of the area (13’), while Álex Cobo saved a powerful volley from Del Pozo (16’).

Then the second goal arrived and it was a lucky play for Fabril. It was a cross from Abeledo, visiting goalie Héctor Pizana failed to contain the ball and luckily the ball hit the boy of Víctor García and went in.

Fabril wanted more and the third goal could have arrived at minute 37, Iago Gandoy attempted a strong shot from the edge of the area, and this time Héctor contained the ball. The Galician lads pushed in the last stretch, but there were no more scoring opportunities.

The second half started with a CDA Navalcarnero pushing in attack, but the Madrilenians didn’t create scoring opportunities and instead Fabril started to grow in the game. Abeledo got injured and was replaced by Lucas Viña.

And then the third goal arrived, Jonathan Montiel collected the ball inside the area and scored through a low attempt past Héctor. Then Iago Novo and Javi Cobo replaced Montiel and Gaizka Martínez. For the first time on the season Fabril never suffered and even had a triple chance to score the fourth goal, but neither substitute Iago Novo nor Uxio were able to end the play (83’)

Fabril were coming from their worst defeat on the season and ended scoring three goals for the second time in the league campaign. The rival arrived defeated and with only sixteen men, but it doesn’t rest merit to the lads’ performance. The season ends with the visit to Real Valladolid B (Sunday, 18h00 CET). The only thing at stake is to not end as the last place, for it the Galician need to win and to see Navalcarnero failing against UD San Sebastián Reyes.
