REVIEW: VALLADOLID B 1 - FABRIL 0 (SEGUNDA B)

21 May 2019
Sad good-bye for a Fabril that’s going back to Tercera as the last place at Segunda B. Luisito allowed several debuts, but it wasn’t a good game for the lads.

BEFORE THE GAME
Last game on a sad season for Fabril, coach Luisito had several injured men and he decided to pick both goalkeepers from Juvenil A, Alberto Sánchez and Pablo Brea, plus three players from Laracha CF: Victor Eimil, Adrián Castro & Manu Mosquera. Two of them were starters: Pablo Brea and Victor Eimil.

The draw was a 5-4-1. Brea covered the goal, Eimil covered the right side in defence, Lucas Viña played on the left, the centre-backs were Gaizka Martínez, Mujaid Sadick and Steve One. There was a trio at midfield composed by Salles-Lamonge, Javi Cobo and Iago Gandoy. Bicho attacked from the left wing and Uxío Dapena was the centre forward.

Valladolid B arrived into the game trying to avoid the relegation playoff, they had one more point than Inter de Madrid and therefore they had more things at stake. Coach Miguel Rivera was relying in Miguel de la Fuente and Dani Pedrosa for the goals, combined they have scored 15 goals of the 32 goals scored by Los Pucelanos before this game.

THE MATCH
It wasn’t a brilliant or entertaining game, Fabril barely did anything and the only moments with some excitement occurred when Valladolid B tried to attack. Since things were favourable for the locals since early in the first half, the game was calm and paused.

Javi Pérez could have scored at minute 2, after a bad clearance of keeper Brea he got the ball and his short-range shot hit the post. Six minutes later the header of Salazar went close to the crossbar. Fabril started to settle and their first chance in the game was a shot of Eimil that missed the target (17’).

The game reduced the pace of the first minutes, because the results were favourable to Valladolid B and Fabril didn’t want to push. The next chance to score was a low shot of Pedrosa easily blocked by Brea (23’).  In the next play the same Brea made a great save before the header of Miguel de la Fuente

But Valladolid B continued pushing and the goal for the locals arrived, José Luis Zalazar found the ball inside the area after a collective play and he didn’t miss before Pablo Brea. Fabril weren’t interested in the game and there were no more scoring chances in the first half as Valladolid B were already saved.

The second part started with a Valladolid B pushing for a second goal, Miguel de la Fuente failed with a shot from inside the area (50’), then Dani Pedrosa had a chance in a direct free-kick and Pablo Brea made the save (60’).

Nothing special occurred within the last half an hour, Valladolid B were breathing as Celta B were losing and therefore were leading to the relegation playoff, while Fabril was more pending of the substitutions. Víctor García, Juanje and Manu Mosquera entered the field, the later is the son of the coach of Extremadura UD that was debuting with the first team.

AFTER THE GAME
Fabril ended a sad season with a new defeat, result that means to end the Segunda B season at the last place of the standings. The future of the team is uncertain as it will have to wait for the elections at the end of the month. The relegation also means the emotion of Laracha CF, club that was serving as a C team at Tercera. That agreement is also pending to be revised by both sides.
