Deportivo need the three points in order to still alive and Martí will miss Quique González. The rival has nothing at stake.

The final two matchdays at Segunda División and Deportivo still trying to enter the playoff zone, even with the dramatic win over RCD Mallorca, the Galicians need two more wins and to see any of the direct rivals falling, and the first of these games is the visit to Elche CF (Martínez Valero, Sunday, 20h00 CET).

And coach José Luis Martí has been hit by the news that he won’t count with his top-scorer, Quique González, the Valladolid-born attacker was replaced at the end of the game against RCD Mallorca and the scans determined that he suffered a grade I hamstring injury on his right thigh. He is not only out of this game, but also already doubtful for the last match against Córdoba CF.

Michael Krohn-Dehli is the other casualty for injury reasons as he still struggling with an Achilles injury. Centre-back Iñigo López joined the team on Friday after spending three days in jail due to the match-fixing case at SD Huesca. It’s not likely that he will be picked for the game.

At Elche CF, the team is already saved and there’s nothing at stake for them. Coach José Rojo 'Pacheta' has just signed a contract extension and wants to change the picture of unstable team after the most recent results.

There are three injury concerns at the team; midfielders Xavi Torres and Gonzalo Verdú, plus striker Yacine Qasmi are dragging knocks and tomorrow the coaching staff will decide if they could be picked for the game.
Also, left-back Juan Cruz is suspended after been sent off against Nástic Tarragona, while the same Pacheta is also suspended as he was sent off too. His assistant is José Luis Acciari and he will be sat on the bench for this game. Meanwhile, midfielder Karim Azamoum and striker Juan Francisco Martínez 'Nino’ are returning after missing the last game due to suspension.
