Coach Martí will not continue at Deportivo after the disastrous game in Majorca; the club analyzed for three days the situation and decided to move forward.

On Thursday morning, Deportivo announced that José Luis Martí is not going to continue ahead of next season. The Majorcan coach was ending contract on June 30 and had a renewal clause in case of clinching the promotion, still the club decided to study for a few days if they wanted to continue with hm.

La Voz de Galicia reported that the club was thinking of renewing his contract even if the promotion wasn’t achieved, but after seeing the terrible game of Deportivo at RCD Mallorca they decided to search for another option.

José Luis Martí arrived at the middle of April in order to replace Natxo González, he lasted a couple of week to know the squad, later he found a starting eleven and the tea started to grow, a process that was completed during the playoff and that helped to chain four straight victories, but the disaster in the final game at RCD Mallorca ended and marked his career at Depor.

Martí coached Deportivo for thirteen games (nine in the regular season and our in the promotion playoff. His record was to add seven wins, two draws and suffered four defeats. The Majorcan coach was the ninth coach of the Galician club within the last three seasons.
