The club presented on Wednesday the team that will debut in Primera División. One day later the Spanish federation revealed the calendar for the season 2019/20.

Deportivo presented on Wednesday the Depor Ladies team that will compete at Primera División. President Paco Zas was there to address the public and confirm the presence of Pablo Pereiro as the boss of the female section. The coach will continue to be Manu Sánchez.

"Hopefully, after what was achieved last year, this won’t be the only thing to celebrate, because a great year awaits us, and we are here to stay for many years at the Iberdrola League. The club is not understood today without this women's section, we have reinforced the team with our limitations, but hopefully we can compete from the first game and against any rival as if these games were finals."  Zas said.

One day later the Spanish Federation announced that the new name of the league is Primera Iberdrola and released the calendar for the tournament. Depor Ladies begins and ends the league at home, first hosting RCD Espanyol de Barcelona and then Valencia Féminas CF. The club already announced that some of the home games will be played at the Riazor, the rest will take place at Abegondo.
