First visit on the season, Anquela recovers Pedro Sánchez and is waiting for Caballo. SD Huesca have been active in the market during the week, Insua landed on Wednesday, but won’t play against Depor.

Tricky start of season for Deportivo, after the complicate game against Real Oviedo, now the Galicians play straight games on the road and both against recently demoted clubs, the first of them at SD Huesca (El Alcoraz, Sunday, 19h00 CET).

Coach Juan Antonio Anquela is recovering Pedro Sánchez, the playmaker missed the season opener for a suspension and is now available. But the Andalusian coach is now pending to know if Diego Caballo will be available.

The left-back suffered a nose fracture on Sunday and was operated one day later, he joined the trainings on Friday after receiving a protective mask and the defender was included in the roster, but Anquela didn’t want to confirm if he will play. If he isn’t available, then Luis Ruiz is set to debut.

Who will miss the game is striker Diego Rolán, he isn’t injured, but is training apart. There are several comments about his possible departure though sporting director Carmelo Del Pozo said on Wednesday that there are no convincing offers for the Uruguayan attacker.

Apart from the doubt of Caballo, the main question is if the goal of Christian Santos will be enough to earn him a spot as a starter or if Borja Valle will stay in the formation, the rest should be the same squad that defeated Real Oviedo.

At SD Huesca, the team coached by Michel Sánchez is coming from an important victory at Las Palmas (0-1) and want to reinforce their candidacy to promotion. The Aragonians have been active in the market during the week.

On Wednesday, it was confirmed the transfer of striker Álex Gallar to Girona FC for 1.5 million euros, while they also confirmed the arrival on loan of centre-back Pablo Insua. Only one day later they confirmed the arrival on loan of keeper Rubén Yáñez, who will take the spot of Aleksandar Jovanović. The Serbian goalie is about to be transferred to Turkish club Ankaragücü.  And on Friday they announced the arrival of loan of centre-back Josué Sá.

Pablo Insua joins the legion of former Depor’s players at SD Huesca (Luisinho, Juan Carlos and Pedro Mosquera), but won’t play on Sunday as he still recovering from a knee injury. So, Kike Hermoso will continue to perform at the centre of the defense.

The other casualty for the game is centre midfielder Damián Musto, the Argentine was suspended by FIFA until January due to a doping case. Meanwhile, left-back Javi Galán should be available after skipping the debut at Segunda (his father passed away).  Michel must also decide if attackers Ivi López and Joaquín Muñoz are picked for the game, both are new signings and weren’t included in the roster for the game at UD Las Palmas.
