REVIEW: CHOCO 0 – FABRIL 0 (TERCERA)

27 Aug 2019
Boring game to open the Tercera season, the newest version of Fabril left a poor impression against a well-placed rival.

BEFORE THE GAME
Luisito was launching a new attempt to return to Segunda B, it is a new team compared to last season. The coach had the casualties of Manu Mosquera and Iñigo Reinoso for injury reasons, while Bourdal was suspended and Ukrainian Yevhen Pidlepenets is still waiting for a working permission.

THE MATCH
The game was boring, because it only had action within the first twenty minutes, time when Fabril had the initiative. David Sánchez was close to score at minute 7 in a direct free-kick saved by local goalie David Cortegoso, while Iago Gandoy missed the target after a corner-kick (19’).

In the middle of both plays, Álex Cobomade a great save against a short-range attempt by Félix Rial (16’). There wasn’t anything else to emphasize in the rest of the first part as both teams lacked depth, the game turned to be a battle for midfield territory in which Famoussa Kanoute and David Sánchez shone.

The picture didn’t change for the second part, because the game was still stuck at midfield. The locals had a couple of opportunities, the main one a header of José Ramón that missed the target (58’). Luisito made offensive changes, but it didn’t affect the outcome.

Mario Losada debuted and the team ended playing with wo attackers as Pedro Correia entered before, Aarón Sánchez also entered in the attempt to add ideas in attack, but the only opportunity created by the lads was a volley of David Sánchez that missed the target (80’).
