Deportivo need results and Anquela is unable to make rotations due the limitations had since the start of the season. Numancia arrive with confidence after their last results.

Referee: Santiago Varón Aceitón
VAR Official: Saúl Ais Reig
Kick-off: 21h00 CET (Riazor)

Deportivo represent the worst defense in the league after allowing ten goals in five matches (same mark than Real Oviedo). The Galicians have allowed in all the matches played so far, and including the 3-0 loss at RCD Mallorca, they have passed six official games without a clean sheet. The last clean sheets were in the playoffs meetings with Málaga CF (0-1, June 15) and RCD Mallorca (2-0, June 20).

Meanwhile, CD Numancia represent the fourth best defense in the league after only allowing four goals, mark only below UD Almeria (1), Real Zaragoza (2) and SD Huesca (3). Actually, they have clinched three straight clean sheets.

This is the seventh visit of CD Numancia to the Riazor, their only victory in A Coruña came in their first visit for the season 1999/2000 (0-1). Since then Los Numantinos have added three draws and suffered three defeats. Last season they came back from a 0-2 deficit to end 2-2.

Juan Antonio Anquela has been under fire since his arrival, many fans never liked his style and career, and the results have justified the criticism. But the true is that the Andalusian manager has had limited resources to plan the games. 5 of the 22 players at the first team (23% of the total) arrived on deadline day and the injuries aren’t helping.

Depor are in the middle of a busy week with three games in a frame of six days, and Anquela is only having 18 men available to prepare the meetings, because none of the injured men will be available for this game. It was expected that Samuele Longo could be available, but the coach revealed that he has now a new muscle problem that isn’t serious, bur that the doctors won’t risk the striker. In the end the coach will only make open change and is the return of Koné.

Team news: The coach will release the roster until Wednesday. But it’s already known that Peru Nolaskoain, Samuele Longo, Borja Valle and Michele Somma will stay at the injury room. Some Fabril’s players might be picked for the game, during the week Boian, Gandoy, Mujaid, Valín and David Sánchez have trained with the first team.

Man to watch: Striker Mamadou Koné. The Ivorian attacker scored the first goal of Depor on the season, now he will play at the centre of the attack of a team that isn’t seizing the opportunities that have been created.

Picked players: Roster to be released until Wednesday.

Predicted lineup: (4-3-3) Dani Giménez – David Simón, Lampropoulos, Javi Montero, Salva Ruiz – Álex Bergantiños, Gaku, Vicente Gómez  – Mollejo, Koné, Aketxe.
The fans of CD Numancia ended upset on last season, because the team spent the major part of the year closer to relegation than to the first places, and the first signs on this campaign weren’t positive after losing the first two games.

But then the team coached by Luis Carrión clinched three clean sheets and ended adding seven of the next nine points in dispute, and the latest 1-0 win over SD Huesca have changed the mood of the fans, who now hope the team can settle down and compete for important things, and the visit to the Riazor will be a good exam for their aspirations.

Team news: Coach Luis CarriónIvan Calero and centre-back Carlos Gutiérrez, duo that returns from suspension. There are no injury concerns at the team.

Man to watch: Winger Alain Oyarzun. The Basque player is a product of Real Sociedad’s academy, and has spent some years trying to settle at Segunda División. He has had an instable career at CD Numancia, but last year he shone at the Riazor coming out from the bench to provide two assists and help his team to clinch a 2-2 draw. This season he began as a regular starter, but was dropped in the last game with SD Huesca. Now he wants redemption and to shine once again against Depor.

Picked players: (18) Juan Carlos Sánchez, Dani Barrio (goalkeepers); Derik Osede, Carlos Gutiérrez, Iván Calero, Héctor Hernández (defenders); Alberto Escassi, Alejandro ‘Kako’ Sanz, Alain Oyarzun, Nacho Sánchez, Antonio Otegui, Gus Ledes, Marc Mateu, Curro Sánchez (midfielders); Higinio Marín, Igor Zlatanović, Guillermo Fernández & Moha Sanhaji (attackers).

Predicted lineup: (4-2-3-1) Dani Barrio - Calero, Derik Osede, Carlos Gutiérrez, Héctor Hernández - Kako, Escassi - Nacho, Curro, Alain Oyarzun - Guillermo.
