THE MATCH
Another great victory that remains undefeated and that has added 13 of 15 possible points. The dominion in the first half found the punch until the second, once again the entry of Athenea Del Castillo was crucial for the win.

The game started with Deportivo dominating the actions, the gals had the ball possession, but weren’t transforming the dominance into scoring opportunities. Rayo Vallecano started to grow in the game and their first chance was a direct free-kick of Camila Saez that hit the woodwork (18’).

One minute later Depor Ladies had a double opportunity, but the attempts of Villegas and Michelle Romero were saved by visiting goalie Patricia Larqué. The Madrilenians continued having chances in set-pieces, the next one was a free-kick of Sheila that was blocked by Misa (23’).

The first half ended with Rayo Vallecano much better on the field, Sladjana Bulatović was their best player and was giving a lot of problems to Cris. The half ended with protests against the referee for many decisions, the main one a hand inside the area after a combinative play with Alba Merino trying to release a cross (38’).

The second half started with the entry of Athenea Del Castillo replacing Michelle Romero. And Depor Ladies found an early goal after a cross from Cris was met at the near post by Peke ad the ball ended at the bottom corner.

The locals dominated the actions after the goal, Alba Merino had the next opportunity with a shot that missed the target (58’). Athenea had the next chance with a shot blocked by Larqué (63’). The first chance in the half for the Madrilenians was a long-distance attempt of Bulatović that was blocked by Misa (64’).

Depor Ladies continued insisting and the next opportunity was a shot of Tere Abelleira that went over the crossbar (68’). Better was the attempt of Athenea Del Castillo, a crossed shot that went close to the right post (69’). The second substitution at Depor was the entry of Maya Yamamoto for Alba Merino, the Japanese was debuting at Primera.

Then the second goal arrived; Athenea made the play on the left wing, her cross couldn't be cleared by Rayo's defence, and Gaby scored after dribbling a rival. Kika and Miriam entered for the final minutes and there was room for a third goal, Maya Yamamoto ended a counterattack to round the victory.
