Victory for Depor Ladies in a weird first half with unusual situations, then Tere Abelleira appeared in the second to score the goal that gives three points to the team.

María Méndez and Laura Vázquez were back, but this time Athenea del Castillo was the one out with mumps. Coach Manu Sánchez also lost Maya Yamamoto for illness and Patri Díaz had a knock in a knee. Maria Calvo from the B squad was picked in order to complete the roster.

Depor Ladies returned to winning ways in an equal game defined by the punch of Tere Abelleira. There were unusual circumstances in the first part and the second part was equal. Sevilla FC could have scored the equalizer in the last play.

The game had a weird start, a player from the rival team, Isabella Echeverri, had to be replaced before the kick-off as he sustained an injury in the warming up. And after only two minutes it was the referee the one that suffered an injury. Referee Beatriz Arregui had an ankle problem and the game was stopped for six minutes (she gave seven minutes in the added time of the first half).

And from there the game jumped into a penalty for the locals. Visiting goalie Sara Serrat made a double save, but in the last she fouled Peke at the box and Alba Merino converted from the spot.

The first chance for Sevilla FC was a header of Raquel Pinel that passed close to the near post (14’). And six minutes later the visiting side was awarded with a penalty. Miriam fouled Toni Payne inside the area and Emilia Zdunek tied the score from the spot.

Miriam got injured in the play of the penalty and was replaced by Nuria Rábano. The half of the first part was gone and there was a weird feeling in the environment for what happened before. It seemed the weird start affected both teams as there was no clear side dominating the actions. The next chance for Depor was a shot of Alba Merino that went over the crossbar (30’).

The first half ended with both teams exchanging the ball possession. Sevilla FC felt better after the draw and had a couple of approximations without consequences, while Depor Ladies ended better as it was pushing in attack, their best opportunity was an attempt of Gaby that was saved by Sara Serrat (45+2’).

The second half started with a double chance for the visiting side, in the first a defensive error was about to cost a goal, but María Méndez cleared the attempt of Toni Payne (47’), one minute later Misa saved a one-on-one action against Virgy García.

And then Depor Ladies claimed the lead again. Peke assisted Tere Abelleira and she fired a rocket from the edge of the area and the ball went into the top corner of Serrat. The third goal was about to arrive at minute 58, Michelle Romero headed a cross from the left and his effort went close to the far post.

The second substitution was the entry of Kika for Michelle Romero. It was a defensive modification as Manu Sánchez was trying to protect the result.  The true is that the Galicians felt comfortable and things were under control, but the game turned to be frantic within the final minutes and the goal could have arrived for both sides.

Alba Merino had the chance to score the third goal, but she missed the target (76’). Then Sevilla FC was close to score with a shot of Olga Carmona blocked by Misa (85’). The last chance for Depor Ladies was an attempt of Gaby saved by Serrat (90’), and the Andalusians could have tied at the end as the attempt of Ana Franco hit the post and was later cleared to corner-kick by Misa (90+2’). The last modification was the entry of Maria Calvo for Peke
