REVIEW: AROSA 0 – FABRIL 0 (TERCERA)

07 Jan 2020
Fabril were unable to defeat a direct rival for the first positions. The game didn’t have goals, but had excitement and goal opportunities.

BEFORE THE GAME
Coach Luisito was missing Mujaid Sadick, who was concentrated with the first team. Also, striker Mario Losada was out injured. He kept playing with a line of five defenders, while Juvenil A players Miguel Prendes and Álvaro Muñoz ‘Yuste’ were picked for the game.

THE MATCH
Fabril have now spent four games without victories, but it cannot be said that it didn’t try in this game. The score is misleading as both sides had enough opportunities to have scored at least twice. By minute 3 each side was already close to score. The locals had their first chance through Pedro Beda and Álex Cobo made the save (1’), two minutes later a shot of Pedro Correia passed close to the near post.

The pace was high and the next big opportunity was a long ball searching for Javi Sánchez that ended with the winger releasing a crossing shot that went close to the post (23’). In the next play a combination between Beda and Adrián didn’t end in goal as the latter didn’t’ arrive in time to connect the cross.

Both coaches made offensive changes in the second half, Aarón Sánchez entered the field and Fabril had the best chance in the game, Martí Vilà made a long pass searching for David Sánchez and his cross was met by Pedro, who later hit the post (65’).

Yevhen Pidlepenets was the second substitution and he had a good chance that was saved by local keeper Manu Táboas (75’). Juvenil A defender Miguel Prendes debuted for the final five minutes and Fabril suffered as SC Arosa pressed hard in this frame. Álex Cobo made to saves within the final five minutes against Roberto Fernández and Manu Rodriguez.
