New victory for Depor Ladies. Peke scored a brace in a match in which the gals suffered in the second half. The visiting side was pushing and could have tied the game after been down 2-0.

Coach Manu Sánchez had no casualties for a game for the first time on the season. He kept the 4-3-3 draw and the only change was the presence of María Miralles at the goal. Winter signings Carolina Arbeláez and Lorena Bedoya were on the bench.

The game had a slow start, with both sides having an approximation within the first ten minutes. The one of Depor was a shot of Gaby that missed the target (6’). The first big chance was a shot of Maya Yamamoto from outside that are that was deflected by visiting goalie Méline Gerard (11’).

Then Depor Ladies started to look better and Peke was close to score with a crossed shot thar missed the target (14’).  One minute later the same Peke found a high cross from the left and his header went over the crossbar.

The locals continued dominating and the next opportunity was a drilling shot of Athenea del Castillo blocked by Gerard (21’). The first big opportunity for Betis came after a corner-kick, Van Dongen released a strong shot that hit the crossbar (26’).

Then Depor Ladies had a double chance. A drilling shot of Athenea was deflected by Gerard (29’), and in the resulting corner-kick, the visiting goalie saved against the short-range attempt of Peke.

And then Depor Ladies was awarded with a penalty after Cris made a solo-play on the right and was fouled inside the area. Peke converted from the spot and the locals went to half-time having the advantage in the score.

The first opportunity to score in the second half was a long-distance shot of Cris that was deflected by Dongen (52’). Despite been losing the game, Betis decided to wait at their side of the pitch and release the counterattack. The next chance was a shot of Athenea that went out (55’).

The first substitution at Depor Ladies was the entry of Tere Abelleira for Maya Yamamoto. The change was trying to revitalize midfield territory, and what came next was the second goal for the locals. And it was a big play by Athenea Del Castillo, who stole the ball, entered the area, dribbled two rivals, and scored with a crossed shot.

It seemed the game was defined, but only three minutes later Van Dongen headed a corner-kick past Sullastres and kept her team in the fight. Alba Merino was the second substitution as she replaced Kika. And Betis could have tied the game with the attempt of Otermín, but Sullastres was there to save the game (74’). The last chance for the Andalusians was a crossed shot of Laura González that missed the target (85’).

Depor Ladies were suffering, but everything ended with a smile in the face as the locals secured the victory with a late goal, again Peke scored, this time in a solo-play in which she scored with a low shot into the near post. Colombian Carolina Arbeláez debuted at the end of the game replacing Athenea. Érika Sâmia also entered in order to end the meeting.
