One of Depor’s newest keepers was presented on Thursday. Abad is content to play for Deportivo and warns that the season at Segunda B is going to be tough.

Carlos Abad was presented before Thursday’s training session. He was talking about his arrival to the club, “Since I knew there was real interest in me, there was little to think about. Depor is one of the greater clubs in Spain, at no time was there any doubt about coming. My relationship with Tenerife has always been complex. It was time to step forward, disengage and start growing elsewhere and there is no better place than this to do it.”

The keeper also talked of Depor’s aspirations for the new season, " Everyone considers us the leading team in the league and we have to perform as such. The idea is to win everything. Our head has to be in returning to Segunda, which is where we should be. But we have to go step by step, we cannot pretend to be in Segunda from the first game. It’s a complex league and this year it will be more so, but this group of fans hobby is one of those that is even more with you in the bad moments.”

“Whatever format it is, in our head there is nothing else than promoting ourselves to Segunda Division, league which is where we should be right now. Due to the circumstances that occurred last season, we are where we are now, but from the first day of training we have been fighting to return to Segunda.” He added.
