Several reports came out on Wednesday affirming that Deportivo is on the verge of entering into administration, this after the club failed to pay a debt of €32 million with the Spanish treasury. For the moment the club maintains silence.

Chaos in A Coruña as RC Celta only released 800 tickets for Depor’s fans in order to attend to the derby that will be played in Balaidos. The tickets were sold in a matter of 12 hours under the rain and the protests of the fans.

On Friday the city of A Coruña inaugurated the street of Deportivo; an access road to the city that pays tribute to the contribution of the club. Around 2,000 people were present in the event, including the major and Lendoiro.

After seven moths the TAS has rejected the appeal presented by Deportivo in the case against Nacional Montevideo for Gustavo Munúa. Depor have 30 days to pay the debt, but will try to present a new appeal in Switzerland.

25,000 SOCIOS FOR DEPOR

For the second straight season Deportivo is reaching the mark of 25,095 socios, now the target is to pass the 27,000. Last season the club ended with 25,589. The record at the club is the 30,800 from the campaign 2003/04.

The complex situation at Spanish football won’t be fixed in the short-term, but at least the “rebel” clubs at Primera División are no longer interested in the strike for this weekend’s matches, therefore la liga 2012/2013 begins in three days.

The club is close to reach the mark of 20,000 socios for the season 2012/13; it’s an improvement from last year’s mark. The target of Deportivo is to surpass the 25,500 of the season at Segunda and to remain among the ten Spanish clubs with more socios.
